Reflected Light Fluoresce Microscope (Fluorescent Microscope) is characterized by its optical system that incorporates dichroic mirrors which direct the excitation beam onto the surface of the objective along the vertical optical axis. Therefore, a bright, clear fluorescent formation against a dark background is ensured. The radiation does not pass through the specimen, as in the case with transmitted light, so that the full emission intensity of the specimen can be utilized. When the dichroic mirror is placed at the inclination of 45°to the optical axis of incident light, the spectral characteristics of the mirror is diagramed below:
The reflected light fluoresce attachment can be flexibly equipped with ordinary microscope to be a reflected light fluoresce microscope. Users can swap between blue or green excitation and transmitted light observation. Reflected light optics provide bright fluorescence images.
